Part of Maritime Museum, the Seaplane Harbour is located on the west coast of Tallinn Bay and it’s now home for most of Estonia’s historical ships. It’s one of Estonia’s leading and most-visited museums: lots of interesting reading, a voyage around the world in the Yellow Submarine, photos taken in naval uniforms, the big aquarium, the simulators, paper plane precision throwing and many more exciting and interactive activities.
If you have an hour or two to spare and you would like to find out more about Estonia’s past, visit the Vabamu Museum of Occupations and Freedom at the foot of Toompea Hill. An engaging museum focussing on the recent history of Estonians, humane values and the role people play in upholding freedom, it tells the moving stories of ordinary people in a thought-provoking way. Reopened in 2014 and located not far from passenger port, the Energy Discovery Centre is a unique electricity and energy themed family science centre where you can discover, play and learn!.
In summer, the best place for enjoying recreational activities outside of Tallinn is at the Vembu-Tembumaa amusement park located 25 km from Tallinn, which offers a wide range of fun attractions for the entire family, including go-carts, ATV trails and pools.
