Tallinn is a developing yet ancient city and the chimney sweep on a street of the Old Town is as symbolic as the Old Toomas at the top of the tower of the Town Hall or Fat Margaret at the Sea Gate. At the same time, most of the chimney sweeps are very mobile due to the nature of their job and those who have decided to ask for fortunate future for their families when meeting the jolly man, have hard time catching up with them. This sculpture could become a joyous and caringsymbol of Tallinn.

The sculpture of the Chimney Sweep officially opened during the Tallinn Day on 15 May 2010 at 10.00 at the Karjavärava square.
